Susannah Dowell

Susannah Dowell has always loved the medium of photography because she can quickly and effectively capture the beauty of nature with the click of a camera shutter button. Her ultimate goal in her work is to inspire her viewers to learn more about environmental conservation and protecting our Earth’s fragile ecosystems.

She began her career as a documentary photographer, shooting studio camera at CBS and NBS News and working at The White House during the end of GW Bush’s presidency and the beginning of Obama’s. She then took an opportunity as a civilian government contractor, photographing for NATO and US Africa Command, and was stationed on an intelligence military base outside of London. She traveled all throughout the continent of Africa to photograph documentary work as US military trained African military and the international affairs of NATO throughout Europe.

Tim Braue

Tim Braue is a managing member at Nemphos Braue LLC where he focuses his practice on sophisticated corporate transactions. Tim has worked at some of the largest law firms in the world. In 2016, he was honored with Smart CEO’s 2016 Center of Influence Award for his work advising Baltimore’s top CEOs.  Tim served in the White House under President George W. Bush and was appointed as Counselor to the Attorney General in the U.S. Department of Justice.  In Maryland under Governor Ehrlich, he served as Deputy Appointments Secretary. He also led Governor Hogan’s transition team for economic development and education agencies and is currently the chairman of the Harford County Judicial Nominating Commission.

Casey Clark

Casey Clark is an award winning investigative journalist and accomplished news executive.  During his more than 25-year career, Casey has worked in 13 newsrooms across the country as well as ABC News.  Working in collaboration with other great journalists, he has collected a Peabody Award for exposing pollution in the Chesapeake Bay, eight Emmy Awards and nine Edward R. Murrow Awards.  He also took a hiatus from news to run for the U.S. House of Representatives.

Herb Frerichs

Herb Frerichs is General Counsel for Perdue Farms, where he is a member of Perdue’s Management Committee and directs Perdue’s Government Relations function. He is also Senior Counsel at Venable. In addition to serving on the CMF BOD, Herb is a Trustee of The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland, Treasurer and member of the Board of the Hippodrome Foundation, and a Trustee of Athletic & Scholarship Programs for the United States Naval Academy. Under Gov. O’Malley, Herb was appointed to both the Appellate Judicial Nominating Committee and the Maryland Economic Development Corporation. He is a former member of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is currently active as a Board member of Virginia Chamber of Commerce.

Julianne Kavoussi

Julianne Kavoussi is a Philanthropist and Registered Nurse in Pediatric Oncology and Wellness Education. She is also the parent of a melanoma survivor. Her son Nick was diagnosed with early stage melanoma on his ear at the age of 17.  Today, Nick is a Physician and remains diligent about his dermatologic screenings . Julianne and her husband are forever grateful for his outcome and thoroughly committed to sharing the awareness and prevention message of the Claire Marie Foundation.

Pat Moriarty

Pat Moriarty is the Senior Vice President of Football administration for the Baltimore Ravens. A former Running Back at Georgia Tech and later the Cleveland Browns, Pat is one of the NFL’s original “capologists”.  Pat is responsible for the management and strategic planning of the team’s salary cap, player negotiations, roster management and day-to-day player operations.  Pat serves on the NFL Management Council’s Working Club Executive Committee and the Board of Advisors for the University of Baltimore School of Law.

Patrice Wagonhurst

Patrice Wagonhurst is Chief Development Officer at Via Care Community Health Center in Los Angeles. She has more than twenty years’ experience in nonprofit healthcare development and has raised millions of dollars in federal, state, and local government grants, corporate, and private foundation funds. Patrice has also worked as an Independent Healthcare Consultant, providing support to community clinics and other nonprofit organizations with needs assessment, program development, fundraising, strategic planning, and Board development. Her civic participation includes membership on the Boards of Homies Unidos and The Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County. Patrice is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Los Angeles.

2018- Mary Tadeo

Congratulations to Mary Tadeo – the 2018 Recipient of the Claire Marie Foundation Scholarship in Arts & Design. Already accomplished in the Fine Arts, Mary is excited to begin her coursework Fall Semester 2018  at the Savannah College of Arts & Design where she will double major in painting and animation. Mary then plans to spend time with the Peace Corps before returning to SCAD to complete her academic career with a Masters in Fine Arts.

Mary is just the latest of the accomplished young women from Notre Dame Preparatory School who are celebrating the artistic journey of Claire’s dreams. We are so proud of each of them!

Marianne Banister

Marianne Banister serves as Co-Founder, President and CEO of the Claire Marie Foundation, but her most important title within the organization is simply as Claire’s mom. Marianne, along with her husband Rocky Wagonhurst and daughter Hillary, is passionate about saving other young lives from adolescent and young adult melanoma. An Award-winning journalist, Marianne spent nearly 30 years as a News Anchor and Reporter in Los Angeles, Denver, Sacramento and Baltimore before establishing her media coaching firm Banister Media.  Marianne is a member of the Executive Alliance of Baltimore.
