Susannah Dowell has always loved the medium of photography because she can quickly and effectively capture the beauty of nature with the click of a camera shutter button. Her ultimate goal in her work is to inspire her viewers to learn more about environmental conservation and protecting our Earth’s fragile ecosystems.
She began her career as a documentary photographer, shooting studio camera at CBS and NBS News and working at The White House during the end of GW Bush’s presidency and the beginning of Obama’s. She then took an opportunity as a civilian government contractor, photographing for NATO and US Africa Command, and was stationed on an intelligence military base outside of London. She traveled all throughout the continent of Africa to photograph documentary work as US military trained African military and the international affairs of NATO throughout Europe.
